Myles 2nd birthday!

We had a blast with this little man. He is now an expert candle blower outter. He waits until the end of the Happy Birthday song then promptly blows out both candles. I guess he has learned from watching his sisters he did not need any prompting! He loved all the attention, the Elmo theme he picked (he actually guessed all his presents to be Elmo he was sorta right!), and opening presents. I love that he can not look at the present until  every scrap of paper is off. Oh and how tidily he hands off the paper, funny for such an aggressive lil man. I sure love this 2 year old I think all of us are sad he is growing up!

Taylor did her first back walk over!
Can you feel her accomplishment? She was beaming all night!
Birthday party number 2 at Grandma Perry's.

Who needs toys? The box served us hours of fun.
Funny he was able to open presents 2 days in a row. So on the third day he went under the tree and opened one of mom's gifts. Poor boy he was so confused as to why he was in trouble.

my baby is 2! holy crap

Myles turns 2 today, it seems like only yesterday that I was so excited to go into labor to finally have my boy here. He has brought endless joy happiness and wildness to our family. He is a great kids who loves to have the whole family around. He cries every single morning when the girls leave for school, then cries again when Bryson leaves. Sweet boy thinks he is old enough to ride the school bus. He is talking some and is learning new words daily. But his speciality is athletics, climbing, dancing and he is an expert and buckling and unbuckling. Oh and he loves treats and loves to cook with mom. When ever I'm in the kitchen he climbs up and always wants to stir, even if there is no stirring involved.Did I mention he is OBSESSED with Elmo. We love having him around! Happy birthday I hope you stay as sweet as you are forever...

Thought it would be fun to see Myles at all stages of life.

Annual cardiologist visit

We woke early to a snow filled valley and hustled our best to Primary Children's. Today Taylor received an Echocardiogram and a exercise test. The Echo took about 1 1/2 hours and I must say T was so patient and well behaved. Towards the end she was laying on her back with pillows shoved under her neck head bent back eyes staring at the wall behind her... needless to say UNCOMFORTABLE. The whole time the tech was pushing the machine into her lower neck not a word not a squirm not a complaint. The minute he left she burst into tears of neck pain and the inability to breath. this kinda cracked me up and I told her no one will ever know you are in pain unless you tell them. Sweet girl was giving her all to toughness. Her Echos have looked the same for the past few years. The left ventricle of her heart is enlarged due to overcompensating for her valve (which is what will someday be replaced.) This is not great but the funny thing is she always passes the exercise test easily. The Dr always says it's just super unusual for an echo to look that bad but the exercise results look good. So long story short we will e scheduling an MRI soon and it will tell a lot more about the potential time frame for surgery. But today was great and fun to be able to Spend nearly a whole day with Bryson, Taylor and Myself. We are so thankful for all the Lord has done to watch over our family and especially T's little heart. She truly is a sweet heart! Every time we visit Primary's I am reminded of many things the first surgery where we nearly lost her and the incredible purpose Taylor has here on earth. And that no matter what we are so blessed, there are so many who struggle with so much.

A day of gratitude

Today I reflect on the infinite blessings I have in my life. I have the Family of my dreams. An incredible husband who is my best friend, a wonderful father, and always keeps me laughing. 3 children who fill my world with joy beyond belief. Today I am grateful for the blessings I have received from my Heavenly Father and most importantly thankful for the gospel in my life. Cause without it all my "gifts" would be nothing.

Now the goal is to live in Thanksgiving daily

Myles

I realize I have not done a post on my lil guy in a while. He is all boy. The biggest current problem is that he hates it when his sisters leave for school or dad leaves for work. It's always a crying fit! Poor guy you would think he would be used to it by now. On Halloween we were at the school for the parade and he was set on riding the bus home funny he thought he could just board and be good! He is talking better and daily learns 3 or more words. My personal favorites include, Mama i love you. You're the best. Tata Kyky time for dinner (this one is only understood by us). He is a joy to have and has brought so much to our family. About 2 months ago i child proofed most of the house so he couldn't get into things he is not supposed to. Well the child proof door handles are now a cinch for him. He is becoming an expert at buckles and can even unbuckle his car seat! This kid is way more advanced in these areas then my girls ever were. He also is a frequent visitor to the time out corner as he is naughty often and enjoys a strong hit, scratch and an occasional bite sometimes (the biting is gettin better) He is my little buddy but he worships his dad and tries to be just like him. I can't believe in less then a month he will be 2!

and there was lots of gross halloween food...

Halloween fun

Fun was had by all...
and as I'm sure you can tell I have NO CONTROL over my husband!

We had so many parties and events I could hardly keep up! I did both the girls class parties, they had fun and appreciated it! The girls returned home from trick or treating at 7:30! So me being the woman I am took them out till 9, needless to say they have a plethora of candy. Skyler's exact words and I quote "I don't feel comfortable having this much candy!" Bryson dressed himself to the delight of all his girls!!!! Myles was afraid of lots and held onto my skirt for security! The highlight was a crazy Perry family party which I'm sure will turn into tradition we had a blast (but missed Christa's fam).

Floods SUCK

I wish I could say I'm sorry for saying the S-word. But quite frankly this dumb toilet flooding all night in the girls bathroom has ruined much more then my Saturday. Carpet oh man it is GROSS, and let's not even talk about the water that traveled 3 floors down and warped a door in the basement. I'm currently thinking about renting... ya I think the short term solution is renting that would solve all this!

We are going on a witch hunt...

We visited Gardner village as a quick schools out what are we gonna do day! Turns out the rest of Utah was there also. We had fun company and the girls hoped there weren't real witches, then fought over whether or not "real witches" exist. Like any smart mom I stayed out of it!

be nice I didn't have time to do my hair!

I am officially back on the exercise loose 100% of the baby weight band wagon! I'm trilled and although I have worked hard and lost 80-ish% of what I gained it's been more difficult getting over the last hump. I am excited and ready to be in the best shape of my life, yep you heard it. For now I'm trying to get in 2 hours of exercise a day, so far so good... And on the boring eat superdy duperdy healthy diet so I can drop the last lingering lbs.

For the record I do this for me and no one else! Shocker I know, but there is just something about really putting time into myself and doing something for myself every day. I now dance and I love it! Averaging around 5 times a week and I feel like it helps my soul soar. I thought I hated dance after some brutal teen years of ought right miserable teachers and all sorts of body image issues, it tour me down. So I left my toe shoes and focused on soccer my #1 love. But I love to dance and I am thrilled I have rediscovered this. Life is about choices and right now I'm choosing to live life to the fullest, woo hoo.

And as promised I am going to post before/after bikini pics. But you'll have to wait till Feb 20 the big day when hopefully I turn 30 with a six pack... tbd

IT"S A LITTLE MORE COMPLICATED THEN BUMPER BOATS...

On Sunday we needed to return 2 redbox movies, I sarcastically said "Sky go grab the other movie and hop in the car and drive to Harmons." She said quite seriously "Mom do you realize what you just said?!"  Bryson chimed in "Ya grab the other movie and return them." Once she ran upstairs grabbed the keys and told Taylor what she was about to do Bryson wisely spied on them from the corner of our walkway just out of sight. Skyler couldn't figure out what lever to pull and Taylor said "SKYLER IT'S A LITTLE MORE COMPLICATED THEN BUMPER BOATS!" It gave us a great laugh now lets just hope she doesn't know which lever to pull for a long long long time!

To blog or not to blog...

Recently I've had a lil battle going on. To blog or not to blog. I love writing down events and feelings and documenting our lives. But life is such a balancing act and I have moments where I could use a lot more balance!

So here is my lil mental list:

1 I love blogging. The good the bad the wonderful. It's my family journal.

2 We have really struggled getting "it all in" since the kids have gone back to school.

We have had sickness, to be specific diarrhea, which Myles can now say. I have never experienced anything like this before with any other kid. BRUTAL!

School was enough to kill Skyler, the shear terror and tears I left her in on the first day broke my heart! She was sure she had the strictest teacher in the school. Happy to report she has made it through and now thinks her teacher is less strict then her previous teacher! Which I told her all along. Sky just does not like change and she has no problem owning up to it.

Activities: I feel like my kids really do not do all that much. But between piano, soccer,  biking, family and church I'm sure myles will only be allowed to do 1 activity. Just kidding kind of! Plus bryson's cycling and my working out (this is my indulgence. and I think I'm posting my before and after bikini pics around the time I turn 30! I know you are so holding your breath right now!)

The whole point of this post is to express that we are living life our very best. And I am loving it, ok not all of it I could do without the 2 year old tantrums (this boy needs to learn to talk soon!) But I'm simply not blogging because I am trying to get it all in. And feeling super blessed to have the wonderful family and all the opportunities I have. So for now I'm still here even if there is not a daily post, DO NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH THERE MAY NEVER BE!
